These chapters outline the creation of Adam, his body, nafs and spirit, from Allah's divine light and in the process help us to understand our own potential as khalifa )vice-regent).  This sets the stage for the summer's teachings, which included:

•  Sidi's original lectures on new healing methods designed to help us care for ourselves and others in the divine, holy      way, including the Special Tawba Practice, the Practice to Purify the Body, Heart, Soul, Spirit and Intellect, the Jewel Prayer and more.
•  According to one longtime student, Sidi's best teaching on Rabi'a al- 'Adawiyya, the queen of divine love.
•  More teachings during the month of Ramadan than ever before--this was the first year Sidi was here for the entire month and led the Ramadan Retreat at the SSRC.
